Learning Step School stands for structure, stability, and commitment to discipline. We also strive continuously to keep pace with the demands of our times and create an environment at school that nurtures all the faculties of our children—social, physical, intellectual, and emotional. We want our children to feel safe, valued, and secure, with the understanding that every one of them is special.
One of the things that bothered me when I was a student was the condition of below-average performers. We constantly strive to improve the performance of such students. The fact that there were very few sports and other activities earlier was also a concern, for which Learning Step has taken bold steps to improve. Now we have ample opportunities for all these, plus there is a counsellor to help the poor performers as well. We have also reduced the number of children in each class to get a better teacher–student ratio, which is now one of the best among state board schools and comparable to some international schools.
We should not judge a book by its cover or a child by his report card. Learning Step School is working on all-round development of children, and in the past few years we have shown considerable progress in this direction.
The challenge before us right now is embracing modern schooling methods without forgetting our time-tested teaching techniques to provide world-class education. Children are the future of the nation, so they should be taught the right values in life to develop feelings of brotherhood and nationalism. A student’s success depends on how meticulously he/she plans the little time available to complete the course of study.
